The Kimberley region in Western Australia is one of the world’s largest yet most uninhabited wilderness areas. An area three times the size of England with a population less than 40,000, people come here to immerse themselves in the cultural and natural values of Australia’s outback. 

From the rugged sandstone plateaus of the Northern Territory border to the beautiful white beaches of the west coast, the Kimberley is one of the world’s premier four wheel drive destinations. On a Kimberley tour with Venture North you can explore this whole region.

Some of the most spectacular scenery in Northern Australia is to be discovered along the Gibb River Road. The Gibb River Road is approximately 600km in length and was once a track used to drove cattle to Derby. Today it is a four wheel track that takes you deep into the heart of the Kimberley providing access points to many of the areas gorges, billabongs, waterholes and cattle stations. Gwion (Bradshaw) and the Wandjina rock art can be found throughout much of the journey, a due reminder of the ancient Indigenous culture that once governed the area.

Highlights include the Bungle Bungles (Purnululu National Park), El Questro Station, Lake Argyle, Tunnel Creek and Broome among others.
