1 Day Kakadu Tours

Kakadu National Park covers a huge area and is about a 3 hour drive from Darwin. Therefore when embarking on a tour of Kakadu we really recommend spending at least 2 days in the Park (is possible). As you'll then get to experience the many different aspects and regions on offer. But if time really is of the essence and 1 day is all you can afford then a 1 day private tour of Kakadu can be arranged.

  • 1-7 people per vehicle
  • Available all year round

Day 1

All of our one day Kakadu tours are operated on a private basis so you'll have an expert guide and luxury vehicle to yourself. On the day of departure we'll need to start early, either at 5 or 6 am. The day will involve focusing on one particular area and seeing around 3 sites within the Park. Below are 2 options we would recommend.

1 Day Kakadu Tour Option 1:

Depart Darwin early and travel into Kakadu via the Arnhem Highway. En route we’ll stop at the historic Bark Hut before entering Kakadu. The tour will then travel into the northern region of Kakadu to Ubirr, one of Kakadu's most impressive Aboriginal rock art sites. After a picnic lunch we will join a cultural cruise on the mighty East Alligator River and even set foot in Arnhem Land. Our last stop in Kakadu will be at the Mamukala Wetlands which is home to an array of bird life. Next we will make our way back to Darwin, arrive in at approximately 7pm.
