Kakadu Tours for Seniors

We often receive enquiries from people about whether our tours are suitable for seniors. Our answer is most definitely YES!! At Venture North we offer a range of options for seniors including both small group tours and private charters (tailor-made tours). Most people know about Kakadu National Park as a great touring option but we can take you even further off the beaten track (and tourist trail) to places such as Arnhem Land and the Kimberley.

If your fit and active then I'd recommend our 5 Day Kakadu, Arnhem Land and Cobourg Peninsula Tour. This tour has a bit of everything... after picking you up from your Darwin hotel we embark on a 1hr wetlands cruise where you'll see lots of bird life and crocs. Next the tour travels into Kakadu National Park where you'll see ancient rock art, wetlands and waterfalls.

Next, we'll have an Aboriginal guide show us around Arnhem Land and visit a community art centre. Then we'll head to the most northern tip of the NT mainland to the remote Cobourg Peninsula, home to the NT's most impressive Marine Park. It's here you'll stay at Venture North's private camp (Cobourg Coastal Camp) and embark on a range of exciting wilderness activities. You can find the full run down of the tour here.

For those seniors who may not be as fit as they once were then your best option is a private charter. These tours are tailor-made to your exact requirements and take into consideration your fitness level, preferred accommodation style (hotel, permanent tents, basic camping etc.), activities of interest and duration. From 2 days, to 2 weeks we can put together your dream tour throughout the Top End (Kakadu, Arnhem Land, Cobourg, Litchfield, Katherine Gorge etc) or Kimberley or both!
